THOUSANDS of hikers and climbers have been heading for the hills over the past 150 years. Most likely some "unclimbed peak" has been climbed... but never recorded.
I think only last year two people climbed a steeple of sorts... which is climbable only with ideal snow conditions. They assumed they were first to climb it. Maybe so, maybe not.

Is this "the steeple" you are referring to?

Nobody has written to me yet saying they climbed it prior to us. It would seem very likely that someone would contact me (or others in the climbing community) considering all the publicity the climb has received (Alpinist Newswire, Northwest Mountaineering Journal, and the 2010 American Alpine Journal).
Sorry, I have no info for the OP re: Cloudcap (aka Seahpo).
Although it is an attractive peak...
