Today marks the first ascent of Fitz Roy in Patagonia.

For you trivia minded climbers, what was the year and who were the first ascentionists?

Terray & Mangione(sp?) in 195? with the aid of the "sardine can" piton. In a similar vein, modern climbers tend to eat some meals with their nut tools.

Magnone not Mangione (big eater) and theyear was 1959

The names are right but you're off on the year. Try again!
