Hi I read on this site something about restrictions in the Cordillera Blanca.
Are there anyone with some more information about this? or someone who can tell where the restrictions are and how to deal with them 8)

Cheers
Kasper

Thanx... but still i am a bit confused about these restictions.
Do I have to hire a guide for climbing in these moutains...or is it only on some peaks you will have to hire one?
Can I like in pakistan just pay a park fee and then go climbing on my own.
I don't mind paying for entrying the park, but climbing with a guide would really sucks.!!

Does anyone have a pricelist for this ?

cheers

You must have a guide and only certain routes are offered. Everything else is off limits now. My advice is: go to the Huayhuash or to Bolivia (better). I plan to avoid all travel/tourism of any kind in the entire country of Peru until the restrictions are lifted. If the restrictions are never lifted, I will never return to Peru. What a tragic loss...perhaps the greatest range in the Western hemisphere off limits for any real climbing.

Hi Tom
It wasn't that answer I was hoping for.....
Well let's hope that they'll soon but away those silly rules. Otherwise we must find some other alternatives. But it's just such a shame!!!
Anyway thanx!!!
