Based on online maps:
The big snowfield northeast of town has two named peaks each of about 5800, both called Nevado Ananea (one is "chico", the other "grande").
Further off to the east on the Bolivian border, Chaupi Orco is a 6er, was that the one you had in mind?
Peru has a set of national topos ("Carta Nacional", 1:100,000). I know the South American Explorers Club has copies in their Lima office (and I assume in their Cusco office too), but I only saw it briefly and didn't look at that part of Peru. Here's an online version, use the "30Y la Rinconada" link in the right-hand column and then select layers you like (e.g., toponyms):

http://mapper.acme.com Terrain and Mapnik layers have the most info.
edit: I have no pics of La Rinconada, I was not even in the same province.
