I wouldn't worry, Sean James is a top guide so I'd go for it.

I would have gone with FTA but the dates didn't quite gel with me. I climbed Ama Dablam with FTA and was very hapy with the service.

I will you see u on the mountain, We will be with IMG.

I have climbed with both and just 1 trip each time. I assume Dan Mazur is still coming back down from Everest and thats why he hasn't been answering e-mails lately. Summitclimb is a bit of a 1 man operation whereas FTA has offices in Perth and Boston.

Both companies are definitely reputable. Its hard to compare as it depends on which guide they allocate and how you get on with that guide. I had much better food in Nepal with FTA than Summitclimb in China but I think that depends on local logistics.

Never mind the websites! I know Sean James who is the guide leading the Field Touring trip. He's a top guy, a very good climber and has very good success rates. We were talking about climbing together in autumn in West Tibet at one point but our dates ultimately clashed. If you want to look at Sean's own website then it's here:
