In mid-March I am heading to Nepal to do some trekking and climbing hopefully. We will be working as a pair and hoping to do some acclimatisation and training on Paldor before moving into the Khumbu to attempt some climbs on Island Peak and Kwangde Ri.

I anyone has any photo's, route descriptions or similar advice, would be much appreciated.

Likewise, I have plans to head to the Annapurna Sanctuary sometime in the future so any thoughts on Tent Peak, Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) and Hiunchuli would be welcome too.

You might want to check out David Breashears' book: "High Exposure: An Enduring Passion for Everest and Unforgiving Places". There are a few pages on an alpine-style climb of Kwangde Ri in there, including some basic route descriptions. I believe it was the North Face, and a steep, technical climb.

Hi - did a couple of weeks of multi=peak ascents way back in 1993. here are some cool 5000m peaks like Paldor WEst (mainly couloir climbing), Pema Peak ( which we did ) snow up to 40º, and some easy second class scrambling to a large cairn on top. Also for Paldor, we did it by the Cleare Route ( AD grade ) which goes up the west face, and then onto the ridge before heading north to the summit. The ridge is stunning, with nice views into the Ganesh Himal beyond. many try to do the Shipton route via shipton's pass, but access to the col and the summit ridge is hampered these days by a very cut-up glacier, so lots p f zig zagging to go around the crevasses. paldor West Glacier (which we traverse to dot he Cleare-Howell route is less so). But my info is nearly 20 years out of date, and Paldor East glacier may have improved since. Email me at mountaineer@pacific.net.sg for some photos if its not too late for your trip - good luck

You can find decent route descriptions in Bill O'Conner's The Trekking Peaks of Nepal.
I'll be part of a group heading to Annapurna Sanctum to climb the 3 above peaks as objectives.
I'll be able to provide fresh information from april 10 - email me your contact info if you need them.

(unfortunately for me do I only have time for Tharpu Chuli and Singu Chuli).
