Hey there Summitpost friends! I have been working on a blog about climbing (and hiking and kayaking as well) and I was wondering if I might ask for A) Feedback on how to improve my site, and B) Ideas for future articles as well. Thanks a lot, any ideas and (constructive) criticism would be really helpful.

As a web developer myself I would suggest having less on the main frontpage, it lagged my browser for a few seconds. Use some sort of system that either shortens the amount of characters when displaying the blog items or have less on the frontpage. SP is a good example, too much can overwhelm the reader.

Thanks Josh, I will get on that. I admit I don't know much about what makes a good blog, but I am learning more every day.

Looks better. Just to make sure it loaded faster I cleared my cache which it loaded much better than earlier. I would still try to figure out how to shorten the characters on the frontpage, but seems manageable now.

As for the Album section I would reorganize it in one of a few ways. Either use some sort of lightbox with thumbnails or make it an actual gallery. On my personal site you can see an example of a lightbox gallery:

By the way, in the future rather than making separate reply, just edit the post you made. (when you make a mistake or add additional information). But do reply to others to make it still a discussion.

I made a glance on your blog and it seems good although you should have less content at your home.

Try showing excerpts on the category/homepages instead of full articles.
