Front Page?

This may be weird since I have a TR on the front page now but I am starting to feel bad that others have been missing out on the front page "Featured TR" opportunity. My TR along with two others have been up for over 2 weeks now. Is there a reason they haven't been updated?

The person (I think it's Gangolf) who chooses the trip reports hasn't logged in since September 28 and is likely on vacation.

If he's not back this Sunday, I'll update the front page. I featured a new mountaineering article last week but didn't want to shortchange people by changing trip reports midweek.

Other websites update their front pages daily, some hourly, to drive traffic, sales, membership, etc... Why should SP do anything like that when the owners have demonstrated folks will put up with pretty much anything?

I love reading (rereading?) trip reports involving young whipper-snappers doing extraordinary climbs in Washington state.

There's no need to feel guilty .... :)

Don't feel bad for being featured for over 2 weeks. However, do feel bad for not featuring a single picture of mine. :twisted: :lol: (I had to say that) Just kidding, do what ever you want. :wink: Have you all considered that perhaps maybe the elves really love the current three trip reports on the frontpage and gave them some extra time. 8)

Hi there - Scott's assumption was correct: I was on vacation. Wireless access was planned but didn't materialize and then my mobile died. Sorry about that. As for Chad's comment - we had only 15 fresh TRs in these last two weeks so even with featuring old reports we would get to an end pretty soon.
