Frog Pond approach for Keeler Needle

Postby ElGreco » Thu Jul 11, 2013 6:04 am

Has anyone tried approaching Keeler via Frog Pond? Half way between LBSL and UBSL the creek splits, and the S fork takes you to Frog Pond. Any idea what the terrain is like and whether this option makes any sense?

Check with Myles and Amy; I'm sure they'd have good beta on that route.

Check Whitney Portal board; they're not SP users.

trust me on this, those frogs there have an "attitude"

They don't take kindly to hikers approaching their Pond...good idea to stay about 20-30ft from that particular amphibian perimeter
