Bought new and only used 6 times at camp in the Andes (it is a spare as I have 2 of these – see images)
The jacket has been kept laid out, uncompressed under my bed on a cool underfloor heated floor so always kept dark, dry, uncompressed and at a constant cool temperature to ensure optimum performance.
I am selling as I have 2 RAB Expedition jackets (see images), Rab Andes jacket and many others so essentially too much kit which I do not use.
The jacket is absolutely fantastic in warmth and comfort. Cannot recommend highly enough. It gives absolute peace of mind when you are in remote, artic type conditions. Simply an essential item if you are venturing into the mountains or these conditions.
The hood is simply the best hood that I have seen or tried compared to any other jacket.
XL size has 498g 850+ hydrophobic down fill, pertex endurance outer, 1440g in weight
I am 5ft 11inches tall (179cm) and muscular medium build - I am at the lower end of the size range for this jacket.
I would normally wear it with a heavy base layer and a heavy fleece (390g/sqm – 700g jacket weight) or with a heavy weight buffalo tecmax pile and pertex jacket (900g in weight).
As such, the Jacket (XL) should accommodate someone from approximately 5ft 10 inches to 6ft 4inches and a range of builds from light to heavy as it is designed to fit over multiple base layers and has a huge amount of loft in the box cells.
