WatchTower?

Any beta on the icefall conditions near Watchtower in Sequoia this season? anything come in (and buried in the next 72 hrs...) ?

That stuff is just above 7000'. There are 10-day temperature graphs at the Giant Forest webcam, around 6400'.

I probably wouldn't bother going to check it out until sometime in January, and only if there has been a good long freeze. btw There is a Tokopah Falls page here.

I've also seen ice on the north side of Pear Lake in the winter, and shorter stuff on the north side of Silliman Lake (~10000'-ish). Those are a pretty long haul with ice gear though.
