This recent spam attack was the largest one I've yet seen here on SP with an average of over 2 accounts being created every minute! I just mass deleted the spammers directly from the database (after some studying to figure out a way to delete them without deleting everyone that has recently registered). Hopefully I didn't get too many legitimate registrants too.

I don't know. He looks interesting to me. If he offered to pay for my beer I wouldn't turn him down
Bring a compass. It's awkward when you have to eat your friends

Just sayin' ... on Summitpost, you gotta watch out for the one's who DON'T look suspicious.

Actually, the guy looks like he'd fit in with any gang of rats here in the Desert Southwest! "Badges? We don't need NO stinking badges !"

I was making a joke, referring to the terrifying look in his eyes and disheveled appearance. Not that I look any better. I was taking a nap on my lunch break at work on the patio. I was wearing my old down sweater which was held together with duct tape. A security guard rousted me and said move it along, no bums allowed. I showed him my badge and he apologized.

Not saying their posts are bad, but they are extremely similar:
http://www.summitpost.org/users/trekking/102299

http://www.summitpost.org/users/adventure/102298

Same age, country, font, occupations, gender, and profile text. They are also using profile names with a theme rather than a real name. And they joined on the exact same day. So I could say more but you get the idea.

So perhaps they could get a PM letting them know that one user per person.
