Whats a good mountain to do early september.

Me and a friend are headed up to northern washington to go play on some glaciers and ice. After that we were looking for a mountain to try. We are both in excellent shape and have immediate experience on mountain and ice. We were looking for something where we can test our skills, but not get in over our heads.

A big wall is also something we could do if theres anything worth climbing and hauling up there? Climbing Experience: plannin on doing the nose in july, so comfortable up to harder 10c leading, or A2 aiding.

Any feedback

North ridge of Stuart might fit the bill for a classic long rock climb. Or crashing through brush for miles to access something like the Pickets might give you more of the "joy" of the Cascades.

Im interested in both! Scenery is always nice, but I love the activity of climbing and mountaineering. If its a good line, makes the whole trip worthwhile

If you have strong ice climbing skills then Price Glacier on Shuksan is worthwhile, or for an outing with mellower ice the Fisher Chimneys is pretty excellent as well.

You mention walls: both Thin Red Line and Liberty Crack on Liberty Bell are pretty classic walls with short approaches.

While having no real technical difficulties, the Ruth-Icy traverse is a beautiful alpine tour that time of year.
