Wrist Injury

by woodsxc » Wed Nov 03, 2010 2:31 am

I tweaked something in my wrist a few weeks ago while climbing and it has been bothering me off and on ever since then. Things like push ups, curls, and crimping are painful. Ulnar flexion (bending toward the pinky) with resistance hurts a lot. What did I do and how much time do I need to take off for it to heal?

I'm a little disappointed.

I already tried webmd but the questions were too generalized to get any good answers.

It's been weeks? That's not good. See a medic. Oh, and don't do any push-ups, curls, crimping, or ulnar flexion (with our without resistance) for at least a couple of weeks.

Oh and yeah, you gotta stop beating off five time a day. I know, It's gonna be rough for a while, but just think of the big release you will get once the wrist heals up... :P

I've taped the wrist to support it and limit range of motion. Of course, I now messed up the ring and middle fingers on my other hand, but thus is life. They're buddy taped and I'm gonna check in with the team trainer on Monday.
