| We climbed from Artigusse (1.591m),in the road to Oredon, because we wanted to visit the Lac d'Oule. We needed 4h 30m to reach the summit. We enjoyed a lot of the lakes of Bastan. Note: we waited a lot of time to visit this peak because we wanted to collect before all the peaks of 3.000m of the massif. The day before I finished it with Aiguille Tourrat and it was the oportunity to go to Lacs de Bastan... and now I think, we're a little bit stupid because this beautiful peak is very interesting. | |

| First day of vacation - decided to hike to Pic de Bastan from Col de Portet because of the moderate elevation gain: 850m. Forgot about 20km of distance. Good hike but since it was Sunday we encountered huge troops of hikers (of the order of 20) going up and down the mountain. Fortunately for us on troop left before we reached the summit, the next arrived after we left. Wonderful views | |
