After groping..

..your way up through the low cloud it is always great when you break though to clear sunshine and see views like that.

Hehe Brian, I have to disappoint you here. We drove (!!) to the highpoint of la Palma, Roque de los Muchachos, then hiked along the rim of the caldera. Actually, the road is only a few (200) steps away from the spot where I took the picture.

But in typical fashion I hiked around a bit before taking the shot ;-)

And of course you are perfectly right regardless of the way I got to the place :-)
