| JoelSkok | La Cienaga and Rio Boa routes ![]() Date Climbed: Mar 4, 1982 | |
| Hiked to the summit a couple of times. Interesting elevational changes in vegetaion, staring with tropical humid, ending in a montane pine forest (with a rocky summit poking above all else.) Tallest point in all the Carribean. | ||

| jmitch421 | Cienaga Route ![]() Date Climbed: Jan 18, 2010 | |
| Hiked up first day to the cabin area then woke early the next morning at 5:30 up to the summit and then back down to Cienaga. Long trek .. my guide SUCKED!!! I didnt want a guide in the first place but was forced to pay for one. Cool to be standing on highest point in Caribbean but La Cienaga is probably the least friendly place I have ever been .. if you can avoid going there try to hike from a different starting point. I felt unsafe and the people are just out to scam you there. | ||

| Eleutheros | La Cienaga/Valle de Tetero ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 10, 2008 | |
| Climbed with students and staff from Escuela Caribe. Spent a day in Valle de Tetero as well. Built a sweat lodge next to the Yaque River. Did 10.5 kilometers on foot in 1.5 hours on the last day descending back to La Cienaga. Thanks to Tigua, Jeno and their family for guiding the trip. | ||

| Scott | Route Climbed: Valle de Tetero/La Cienaga Date Climbed: December 3, 2004 ![]() | |
| I climbed with my wife, Kimberly; my brother Mark; and his wife, Angie. We took the La Cienaga Route up and the Valle de Tetero Route down. It took four days, with one day spent in the valley. The valley is a nice place with waterfalls, pools, lots or parrots, and wild horses. All four days were completely cloudless. | ||
