Pilot Mountain  Sucess!

It was a rough night since I forgot the tent and slept under the stars at Miners Basin in the La Sals and there were a lot of animals around. It was cold at night and in the morning, but it was a nice day. I climbed three peaks over 12,000 feet: Pilot Mountain; Green Mountain (unranked), and Mt. Waas. Snow and fallen timber slowed me down do it was a long day and I got back after dark.

North La Sal Traverse

Climbed as part of a traverse in which we climbed all La Sal 12,000 ft. peaks in two days! We did it as two loop hikes (one of the north peaks and one of the south) from a base camp at Geyser Pass.

Ski Traverse of N La Sals  Sucess!

I think this is also known as Mineral in which case we (SETH and Jack B) did it during our ski traverse from Geyser pass to Miners Basin. Climbed from Beaver Basin (having skied north face of Manns). Hellishly windy - 70mph(?)on ridge so we traversed south west face and finally made it to summit on north west aspect.

Neat hike  Sucess!

Living in Moab, these are easily accessible mountains and a lot of fun! The hike up to Jackass Pass (between Pilot and Dry Peak) is very steep.
