Pinguicula Nevadensis
The Pinguicula Nevadensis is a small carnivorous plant whose habitat are peat bogs and damp places in general. Their leaves are covered by a sort of short hairs with glands that secrete a sticky liquid capable of trapping small insects. When a prey is trapped, a second kind of glands enter in action secreting acids and enzymes that dissolve the hard parts of their small bodies. The result is a liquid rich in nutrients that is finally absorbed by the thin cuticle that covers the surface of the leave.

See insect leftovers stuck to the leave's surfaces.

Found in Circ de Colomers, close to Lac Redon.
