Not worth the drive  Sucess!

I'm not sure why I hiked this one. The drive is longer than the hike, even with the last bit of road closed. 28S17 is closed to vehicles.

Piute Mtn Rd  Sucess!

According to my GPS, the western summit is higher than the middle summit by 5-6ft, and higher than the eastern summit by 15-17ft - in case anybody cares. Trip Report

Drive up  Sucess!

Well, almost a driveup. A very long drive stright onto the saddle between the middle and eastern summits. Only a few minutes walk to visit both. Was a battle getting out and over to Breckenridge, in part due to a gate on the route I chose to go. Luckily I ran into a friendly landowner who opened it for me and I was on my way.

Truck hike  Sucess!

A fun, somewhat arduous drive, some easy short hiking, some scrambling, and a bear for variety! Fun peak, not too much trouble, but still worth the effort.
