Description

I'm looking for a partner (or 2 or 3 ) for intermediate to advanced backpacking
activies in the Sierra Nevadas, Yosemite, and honestly every major national park
in the US.

I've been doing this mostly by myself to date but there are a lot of benefits to
having a partner:

- split up work required for planning the trip
- safety in numbers. If one of us seriously injured the other can help with
medical
- split costs and the task of driving

... and company can always be nice.

I'm VERY much up for doing more advanced trek's too. I want to do a full hike
through of the John Muir Trail this spring. Climb Mount Whitney and Mount
Raineer, etc.

You should be in excellent shape, have the right gear, and be ready and eager to
take on some serious challenges.

I'm 34, white male, work in the tech industry.

I am not sure if you will read this message in time, but I would really like to have a partner for a reattempt of Mount Whitney. I was recently turned back at the base of the East Face due to high winds and blowing snow and ice. I missed the good weather window by a single day. I really want to ascend via the Mountaineer's Route, and I am really itching to get another shot at it. I am in the Bay Area for the next week, hopefully, on the off chance you receive this message soon. By trade, I am a climber, but I have mountaineering experience in the Sierra Nevada and the White Mountains back east.
