Description
Hey everyone, I'm planning on a backpacking trip in the southern Sierras sometime in January. It's a trip detailed in the Sierra South book by Morey et al. I'd like to get one or two more people, so if you're interested, let me know! I've recently taken weekend backpacking trips to Mt. San Jacinto and San Gorgonio and now it's time to up the ante in terms of scale and grandeur.
The book says it's a 6 day trip and plans out each day from point to point. It's possible the trip could be shortened to 5 days. As for me, I'm in very good shape and so conditioning wouldn't be a problem for me. I don't mind if you like to hike slower than me, as long as we finish the trip on time, of course :-).
For info about the hike, visit this link (it's trip #34): http://books.google.com/books?id=juT7U4Clb6IC&pg=PA142&lpg=PA142&dq=big+and+little+five+lakes&source=bl&ots=fWD3xNQH9q&sig=VoPdK9sqbHJCX8_LDrZ1mEUmqeg&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=3&ct=result#PPA142,M1
