Description

I plan on doing the Casaval Ridge route on Mt. Shasta in mid to late March 2013. The route could be done in a day, but I plan to do it in two. The route is not for beginners so previous experience will be required. It looks like a really great route from all of the pictures and being there looking at it. Who will join me?

	I have been gaining loads of experience doing winter ascents in the Tahoe area and although I would still consider myself somewhat of a beginner, I am confident with self arrests, glacier travel, rappelling, belaying, etc. I have been climbing for years and am moving towards mountaineering so I do have an extensive background in vertical pursuits, just not tons of experience with mountaineering. But I would love to go, I only live like five hours away and have always wanted to climb Mt. Shasta.
