When is the latest you would need to know by? I happen to be free during that time. It lands between the end of my national guard annual training and the beginning of my next semester of college.

I live in Las Vegas and would need to make sure i have the funds required to fly up there and for lodging.

I'm new at climbing, i've only climbed Mount Charleston here in the Sierra Nevadas, once in the summer, once in the winter. I'm in great shape. I own an axe, boots, universal crampons, mountaineering backpack, sleeping bag, all layers of clothing. I do not have a tent, pickets, rope, alpine harness, etc.

What additional equipment would i need to purchase, and what additional funds would i need (fees, etc.)?

Thank you,

V/R

Robert,

I am planning to climb Rainier trough DC the first week of August. My climbing partner had to cancel due to work conflict. If you are interested and can go a bit earlier, I would love to join the climb. if you cannot change your schedule, I can try to move mine. I'm just trying to put a bit of space between Rainier and Kili II in September.

Regardless, I am very interested in this climb.

Cheers.
