Description

I am looking for folks interested in going on a climbing roadtrip primarily by touring bicycle. I have no set destination or time period decided yet, so it would be entirely up for discussion. Most anywhere in North America would be fair game. At the moment I only lead moderate grades and enjoy primarily trad, ice, and alpine stuff but would gladly include sport climbing and bouldering destinations.

If you are serious about riding around with a bunch of climbing gear strapped to a bike, taking a fairly large amount of time to do it, climbing a bunch, and above all else laughing everyday, then please reply to this post or send me a message. I am looking for people who may be interested now or in the future.

Hey Tom,

I am in the market to find some new climbing partners as well. I am 33, have been climbing for only a few years, I have too much gear and a new suby outback to transport and with some luck another VW Camper soon, I follow some WI4+ and some 5.10s to give you an idea - I am more fit than a great climber but I am trying to push my competency by doing the gym thing but without a solid partner outside, it is not coming easy. That said, I am relatively technically competent (studied freedom of the hills, John Long, etc), conservative, safe, and sane - not a newb but I unfortunately won't be swapping leads with you on anything fun.

Also into mountain biking (A-Group), distance backpacking, and fitness in general. I do quite a few trips to NY and would like to do more if I had a partner where the chemistry is good - share expenses, etc. I really like your idea for a long distance bike packing trip; I am not sure I could join on something like that until I am taking a break again from my 9-5 gig.

Let me know of interest. I am laid back, think I have good
humor, can handle epics but try my best to avoid, and
contribute more than just someone you will be dragging along to a trip.

Best,
Jeremy Stoshick
