Looking for reliable climber partners in the Port/Couv area who are up for more interesting routes and approaches than the standard south climbs. I'm into winter and summer alpine, trad and sport rock, ice, technical caving, and back country skiing. I'm also up for short local training hikes, long distance treks, and mountain biking.

Willing to train people who have basic rope skills in more advanced stuff, but not beginners.

FalltheGiantsClimbing Partner

Just moved into the portland area from california and am looking for a solid climbing partner. I have intermediate experience in rock climbing (solid v4-5 boulderer, climb up to 5.12 on a toprope) and am just getting into leading. I have done some snowshoeing and know the basics of winter camping, but haven't done any proper mountaineering. I've wanted to get into it for a while and have been reading the techniques in books, but due to lack in alpine climbing partners I haven't had a chance to put the skills i've learned into practice. Gear wise, i've got everything for tope-rope or sport climbing and multi-day snowshoeing treks. Definitely looking to build up a trad rack though when money permits and eventually climb some big wall. Also psyched to check out Smith rocks when the season permits. Would love to do some ice climbing as well.
Let me know if your interested.
