Description
I'm thinking of 2-4+ trips of 3-6+ days hiking and peak bagging during the summer of 2012.
1-2 trips to the Silverton area (depending on weather and distances accomplished):
*Grenadier Range and Needles (Ex. Vestal Peak - Wham Ridge solo, Arrow, Trinities Traverse, etc)
Chicago Basin 14ers (from Purgatory Pass)
*Telluride - general hiking and 14ers (Wilson/El Diente traverse, etc)
*Crestone Traverse (done 7/12)
*Little Bear/Blanca Traverse and Penitente Canyon mtn biking and climbing
*Snowmass, Pyramid (done 7/12), Capitol (done 6/12)
My experience:
Colorado - solo of the Maroon Traverse, Capitol knife edge, and Longs,
also Crestone Traverse, Pyramid, Sneffels, Uncompahgre, Challenger/Kit Carson, US Grant, Pilot
Knob, V4, and V2 solo (Ice Lake Basin)
Out of state - Grand Teton, Rainier, Hood, Baker, Shasta, Whitney, Ritter/Banner, Conness/North Peak, Cathedral Traverse, and more
I'm not really planning on much true technical climbing, but I can lead climb at 5.9-10.
I'm fully confident of doing any and all of this on my own, but if someone that can keep up is interested I'd consider company.

| You can see the description of the route here on this forum:
http://www.14ers.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=30437&p=360314#p360314
See this page for more details on the trek (I've added some peaks to this description)
It basically starts at Molas Lake and we climb Electric, Greystone, Arrow, Vestal, Trinity, Storm King, Silex, The Guardian, Peak 9 and Hunchback Mountains by making a large loop. I have dates set starting this Friday June 24th around 5 pm and going through the next Friday.
I however stick to class 3 climbing and below so every route on all the peaks will be one that's class 3.
If you want to do harder routes we can climb the same peak on different routes and meet at the top if you want as well.
Thanks,

| Hey Matt, Sorry I'm just getting your message now. I could have been interested but I'd need a little more notice to work out the schedule. Hope you had fun, those sound like awesome climbs. I'm planning on being in the Denver area in a couple of weeks, I think doing Longs Peak on July 12. Maybe we can work something out then? | | Posted Jun 26, 2011 4:36 am |

| Reply #2. I'm looking at hitting the Grenadiers (and more) myself this year. Will be doing those same peaks, plus many others. Personally, I don't look at anything less than Class 3 these days, unless it's near other stuff I'm doing.
How was your trip if you went last year? | | Posted Apr 29, 2012 7:17 pm |
| Scott Pierce | RMNP in July? | |
| Am looking for a partner for Kieners on Longs and perhaps Dream Weaver on Meeker, late July (21-24). We've climbed some of the same stuff, might be a good match.

| Hey Scott,
Sorry, just seeing this message. Hate how SP doesn't always send an e-mail when a message is sent.
First, I don't have any of those days off. I'm leaning a little more doing things around Aspen or Telluride at this point. RMNP is fairly far for me and I wasn't all that excited by it either.
If you want to try something else I'd consider it.

| Hi Blue, I'm trying to get out on my first peak of the season. leave Sunday 4 AM.
On my list: La Sal Pk. Tomasaki, Haystack, or High Laurel in the Las Sal are on my list. Or US Grand from S Mineral north of Ice Lakes Basin out of Silverton. Other 13ers and interesting peaks, I've over-repeated most 14ers. | | Posted Jun 1, 2012 4:58 pm |
