I moved to Denver this summer and am looking for climbing partners. I'm particularly interested in winter mountaineering and ice climbing in the next few months, but am open to just about anything outside. I do not have a ton of winter mountaineering experience, but know how to self-arrest, tie my own boots, etc. (I lived in NYC until recently, so the bulk of my climbing experience has been on 300 foot rock cliffs on sunny days in the 'gunks.) I am taking an avalanche course in a few weeks. I love ice climbing, but am not super strong -- I can follow up WI4, but have yet to lead on ice (a short-term goal). I have my own gear, am reliable and safe, and rarely whine.

In the past, I have found that meeting a new partner for a gym climbing session is a good way to get to know someone for this sort of thing, but am open-minded about this.

I'm married and have a kid, so getting out usually requires a little advanced planning but, I have an understanding spouse and relatively uncomplicated schedule, so nothing too onerous.
