Description
Hello-- I'm familiar with hiking / packpacking but new to mountaineering and climbing. I am looking for a partner/ a party in order to learn the trade of mountaineering/apline scrambling, etc. I'm enthusiastic, energetic, 19-years-old and a student as the US military academy.. My off - times will likely consist of day-time hikes (0100 curfew here) on weekends, but on leave dates (thanksgiving weekend, any long weekends, christmas break, spring break, etc) more than willing to camp out and such. I'm familiar with camping, land navigation, orienteering, etc.
Looking to explore the Gunks, along with Catskill trails, Appalachians, and more! All over New England, eventually MT Washington
