Description
I am looking to get some practice on Rainier before attempting the summit next year. If anyone with experience glacier climbing wants to go, I will be in Seattle June 18th - 22nd 2014, and would like to do a trek from Paradise to Muir on the 20th or 21st.
Kinda of a noob to mountaineering, but have a lot of experience with hiking, map orientation, wilderness survival and the like. I have and will bring all of my own gear. Very athletic with high endurance too.

| That's a great day hike. Beautiful, esp if you catch some good weather. When you eventually go to the upper mountain, it is significantly steeper and with much more dangerous. Rainier is where I cut my teeth on mountaineering and it remains my favorite place. | | Posted Mar 31, 2014 12:10 am |
