Description
Overview
I am currently travelling South America, and will be in Colombia around late February to mid March amd would like to climb some peaks there but need a climbing partner.
Plan
I am very flexible on this, but heres what I had in mind.
Get a bus to El Cocuy from Bogota, from here the national park can be accessed the following morning.
Trek up to Laguna Grande de la Sierra and set up basecamp where we will spend the next couple of days.
Over this time attempt the nearby peaks such as Pan de AzĂșcar, Toti, Concavo and maybe more. These are all around the 5000m mark and involve crossing glaciers.
I would also be interested afterwards in going further North into the park to have a go at Ritacuba Blanco, the highest peak in the Cordillera Oriental at 5330m.
Date
As described the dates arent yet set so there is some flexibility there but it will be around late February at the earliest to mid March at the latest.
Equipment
I have all my own gear (including a 3 man tent) with me except a rope, and would be happy to go halves on the purchase or rental of one.
