Description

I'm looking for partners to go up shasta anytime this season. I climbed 3 different routes last season and summited 2 others times years before. I am looking to head up there at least once per month from april to august and hopefully do more routes up..... so if you're looking for someone to go with, please drop me a line. I can be self suffiecient and wiling to climb at any reasonalbe pace...(whatever that is) but I have summited in 7 hrs from the parking lot, overnighters are usually best. My climbing partners are now married and supposedly can't play anymore...so looking elsewhere.

Hey Graham, Ya I saw that post... it is a ways off.... so can't commit to that now. If it is a good snowpack year august may be OK. I have never been up there past the first week of july but I know when the snow melts it is all scree... 2 steps up one back...errrrr. but that time of year might be good to go up a more northern side ( I haven't done any of those)..Keep me posted as it nears.

Hey BigD, I would be game for a Shasta attempt in the June/July time frame. I have never climbed on Shasta, so I would like to stick to the less technical routes. Keep me posted!

Yo BigD...I was thinking about going up there possibly in early to mid-June to do a ski descent. I've climbed the mountain a couple of times and know the South side well, but I was thinking the East side. Let me know if that might work with your plans or not!

we went up casavale ridge 4/28/06. very warm weather. the nite was perfect for sleeping, a bit too warm for the snow to freeze. it made for a lot of post holing. white out conditions on top, and somehow managing to find our way up and down made for a great climb. Anyone up for a may climb?

My friend that I was going to climb Shasta with has bailed on me. Would anyone be interested on a climbing partner for Shasta during this week? I would probably be comfortable doing something moderately difficult (class 3-4), but if no one else is interested maybe I can join shastahiker on avalanche gulch? I'll probably rather climb it in 2 days though since I need some time to acclimatize. Thanks.

I'm up for any Fri/Sat/Sun in June...I know being limited to the weekend sucks, but I have to work to play! Self-sufficient with gear/tent/etc. Drop me a line if anyone's up for it---I'm only looking to go with experienced folk, FYI.

I am also looking to climb Shasta. I would prefer to do a single day climb, starting around 2-3am. I would want to do the Clearcreek Route.
