Shaylee on the summit of Peak 12,029 this weekend. When the photo was taken it was sunny, but the windchill was -55F (-48C)! (On the old windchill chart it was -82F (-63C)!).
On February 25, we all snowshoed through a blizzard 6.5 miles to a mountain hut on Boreas Pass. In the morning it was clear, but very cold and very windy. Kimberly and Kessler stayed down at the pass, but Shaylee decided to tough it out and climb the peak. We were going to climb another one, but conditions were pretty brutal at high elevations.
