While on a road trip with the family we stopped here because I wanted to see the place of the famous ending scene ion Planet of the Apes.

Beautiful Spot
Not a really a "mountain", but it is a beautiful place to climb. Been there several times. During the summer, get there early if you want to set up a top rope.

From beachBoth the summit and the pinnacle. Was able to find solitude (or at least the illusion of it) on both during this summer weekday afternoon.

Nice ViewsAn easy 5 minute hike from the parking lot brings you to the top, but it's more fun to climb it!
