Pollock summit view to the south

The massive glaciated area stretching across the center of the photo used to be entirely covered by Blackfoot Glacier; however, as the glaciers in Montana have retreated, the mass split into two. Blackfoot Glacier is located left of center on the northern slopes of Blackfoot Mountain. The icy area to the right is now named Jackson Glacier, which perches on the side of a 10,000+ peak of the same name. Another 10,000 foot mountain, Mount Stimson, is behind and to the left of Blackfoot. Heavy Runner Mountain is the short, shadowed peak in the foreground. September 2, 2009

I think the...

"...short guy in the foreground" is actually Heavy Runner Mountain. Almost-a-Dog is out of the frame at left.
