| Dennis Poulin and I hoofed it from the saddle near Blue Jacket Peak and followed rayray's route. Found the register and benchmarks on the broad summit area and enjoyed the views before making the trek back to the truck. We had climbed McAfee Peak in the morning and this finished up our day. We camped at the Jack Creek campground and we were the only ones there. That'll change I bet come hunting season. Neat area around Porter Peak. Will need to go back and get Wilson Peak just to the south of it. | |

| Hiked the 4WD road from Blue Jacket Peak. Nice hike capped with great views. | |
