13 hours trailhead to trailhead, 8 hours Madison summit to Pierce summit under the clearest skies I've seen since December. See the Trip report.

A year or so later I did a south-to-north traverse starting at Webster, started late and didn't go as fast, bailed down Valley Way without doing Madison.

Did a very nice early winter Presidential traverse, from Crawford Notch on rte 302 to Appalachia Parking Lot on Rte 2. Hiked up to Mitzpah Springs hut late Friday night, hauled ass all the way to Madison Hut Saturday, then down Valley Way trail to Appalachia on Sunday. Got to car before 11, only to find it broken into...but that's another story...

Can you have a summit log for a group? I've climbed every mountain major peak in the group and most of the minor ones as well, so I guess that qualifies me if anything does... Been tramping around the Presidentials since I was a squirt. Highlight was a one-day blitz on Madison, Adams, Jefferson, Clay, and Washington in the late-nineties. Good times...
