Fun scramble  Sucess!

Fun little scramble. The bonus is adding Two Pines Arch as you ascend. We say three herds of bighorn sheep en route. The views are as good as they get in Zion, which is saying something. Definitely a peak I will return to again and again.

Progeny  Sucess!

I remember Progeny Peak having a great view from the summit. Did a route that went up the southwest side.

Big bang for the buck  Sucess!

11/29/08 - On my 1st Zion trip. Climbed South Ariel Peak and Lady Mountain the same day. Spectacular views from the summit which requires little effort to reach. Easy & fun 3rd class scramble.

11/13/09 - Climbed SW Face direct, roping up for one short 5.6ish section.

4/23/18 - Last quick little summit before the long drive home. Classic slickrock stroll.

Arguably the best 360 view of the park  Sucess!

Loooved this hike. Fun scrambling, fun route finding, and the summit all to myself while my friend napped on some rocks on the saddle below. Most of the tourists steer clear of this part of the park, which is also nice. We didn't see anyone else en route!

Evan's first Summit  Sucess!

This late afternoon scramble was my son Evan's (then 11 yrs old) first scrambling summit, and it was a great time: Route finding, nice physical challenges, and one quitting point overcome. Stunning views.
