The best approach through experience and beta-gathering is that illustrated by the orange lines from Domingo Baca Canyon. The darker versions of the colors represent paths hidden by the rock features. The connection to La Luz has yet to be confirmed. April 17, 2009.

Descent

There is no need for a rappel off the top. There is a 3rd class route to the saddle between the Thumb and Whiskey Ridge from which you can travel north to meet the La Luz trail.
