Ptarmigan Wall Goat Trail
This is along the narrowest section of the "main" goat trail. A slip might mean an unbroken fall of several hundred feet.

Although they're often just two or three feet wide, these trails created and "maintained" by the goats are in amazingly good condition; the goats do know what they are doing. Another plus: no litter. There's even a surprisingly low amount of droppings on the trails. I guess the goats, unlike horses and cows, have the sense not to crap where they walk!

Actually, Steve, I often can't decide whether it would be an eagle or a mountain goat if I could be some animal for a day. Many times, I have watched a goat hop on ugly-looking cliffs and feel just sheer wonder (and jealousy).

Plus, if you were a goat, you could easily get to places where you could be on SP without ever being caught by your wife!
