| After the disappointment of Palm View Peak, we looked forward to Pyramid and it delivered. Nice steep but short cross-country section from the PCT up the north side to the top, where expansive views in 3 directions greeted us. Best was looking down into Garner Valley and Thomas Mountain behind it. Summit was rocky, but felt solid. | |

| Up the north ridge (kinda brushy starting halfway up) from the PCT and down the southeast back to the PCT. Continued on to Pine and Lion for an easy day. Nice views from the top | |

| First peak of the day along the Desert Divide. Was 28 degrees at my car when I left. BRRR! Took a game trail from the NE shoulder to shave some miles. Great views all around, but mostly of Pine Mtn and Lion Peak. | |

| No mystery shrouded summit here, except for the sudden cloud cover we experienced on our way back from Pine Mountain. Deb and I had an "adventurous" time pretending we were rats in a maze as we made our way through loads of manaznita. Fun times....as always! ;) | |

| Another blissful solo trip on the Desert Divide; almost needed snowshoes for this one! Had the pleasure of breaking trail on the PCT to the tune of 18" of popcorn snow, bright sunshine, and no wind. I must thank the deer for keeping me on trail, they are more acquainted with the snow-covered PCT that I am. 8 Apr 07 Easter - Davey and I enjoyed some interesting weather to climb Pine Mtn and Pyramid; low clouds really obscured the scenery by the time we reached Pyramid. :( | |
