Attempted ascent of Quandary with decent of Miners Hollow from Factory Butte Area in 2002. Teamwork required for some up the ups, but a very strenous and fun outing all the same. Ran short on time for descent of Miners.

Quandary/Ramp

Kessler and I did the challenging Quandary direct route with Tom Jones and other friends during the SUWA gathering. Conditions were challenging and the route was scenic and great. We used sandbags on several occasions. With the fairly large group we went slow and as soon as we reached the mouth of Quandary, the group split up and I too the fast group. We arrived back at camp right when it got dark and the slower group just a little more than an hour later.
It was a great excursion.

After several years of putting it off, I finally completed the Quandary/Ramp Canyon loop with my eight year old son and co-worker Justin on April 16 2011.

Long Day
Long day up to the top of the cliffs, route-finding down to the open area, down Quandry and back ramp. It got dark on us by the time we hit the large chalk-stone in Ramp.

Quandary Direct, 2x10/15/11 - Quandary Direct and up Ramp Canyon. Potholes were half full, escape gear needed.
5/11/13 - Quandary Direct and up Ramp Canyon. Potholes were tippy top full. Jump and splash, no escape gear needed!
