| bjd5578 | A solo hike...sort of ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 18, 2004 | |
| My first solo 14er hike - although I was there with 500 of my closest friends. Summit was shrouded in clouds, so I didn't get to savour the view...have to go back to enjoy the view another time. | ||

| mountainzen107 | Memorial Day ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 4, 2006 | |
| An absolutely beautiful day. No clouds in the sky, not too hot, not too cold. Summitted in 2 hours with big brother. He's a 44 year old who kicks my butt. | ||

| CanopyBoy | South Face (east of Cristo Couloir) ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 28, 2006 | |
| Tried an alternative approach to summit along the south face from just east of the lake dam. No existing route so finding the way was a little difficult. We had to tunnel through some shrubs along the lower portion of the climb, and on the upper portions of the mountain the loose rock was pretty treacherous. Fun climb despite having to walk all the way around the mountain on the descent. | ||

| Will Davis | East Ridge Date Climbed: Aug 13, 2006 | |
| It was very crowded on the east ridge. We ascended into the clouds and has almost no view from the summit. This was my brother's first 14er. Pretty easy, but still very fun. | ||

| odysseus | Warm-up from Monte Cristo ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 20, 2006 | |
| Arrived in Denver Saturday morning. Went up Quandry (2nd successful summit) with Mountain Girl Sunday AM for acclimation in preperation for Sawatch climbs later in the week. The trail was like a city sidewalk with all the hikers! Encountered 3 seperate herds of mountain goats on the way down - the most I have ever seen on a 14er. | ||

| illegal_smile | should woulda coulda ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 5, 2006 | |
| Should have gone up the ridge. Try again with snow. Lots and lots of people but an early start will make a difference. A great day surrounded by fog and mist but when the clouds broke... cool stuff. | ||

| ChaddBragg | Not the Easiest ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 20, 2006 | |
| Nice hike on a really nice day. Would ahve to disagree with people that say this is the easiest 14er. I think Sherman and Bierstadt are both easier. | ||

| ...than never. Really guessing about the actual date. Climbed it again in August 1995. My first fourteener in '75, and still my only winter one. My wife's third (I believe) when we climbed together in '95. East ridge route from Montgomery Res. TH the first time, same route from McCullough Gulch the second. | ||

| seth@LOKI | East Ridge- The Best Winter Climb ![]() Date Climbed: Jan 10, 2001 | |
| East Ridge Climb is great as it is wind swept and usually safe approach. I have skied this often picking through the rocks in the middle section. The Cristo is good in spring. Seeems like everytime I come back from doing the East Ridge, some idiots die on the Cristo. Don't get me wrong I love BC riding and pow...It's just not worth my life. beacons don't make you safe. Rdges help. | ||
