Rakaposhi is now added to my wish list of mountains. Is this SouthWest Ridge on the left of this picture?

In 1982 I admired this mountain from Baltit and en route from there back to Gilgit. It is the choicist peak outside of the Korakoram and Nanga Parbat from the Indus Valaley.

Somehow I don't have any desire to revisit Pakistan under current conditions. With all the car bombings and other acts of terrorism I'm happy to remain on Summitpost and enjoy your pictures.

Thanks for sharing your views.
Being a responsible member of this sensitive industry, I should say that the unrest is limited to areas.People who have been to Pakistan say it is safe to travel to major tourist attractions specially Gilgit Baltistan.
