White Pine  Sucess!

Hiked up here thinking it was White Baldy. Then on the summit I looked towards Pfeifferhorn and saw the true peak. Guess I'm an idiot. Whatevs, hiked the rest of the Bullion Divide west -> east. I'll get WB later. Or something.

Bullion Divide 6  Sucess!

Last peak of my trip as I was too tired to continue to White Baldy. Red Baldy was the hardest of the 6 peaks I did with some tough scrambling. Then...I had to hike all the way down White Pine Trail - ugh, so thirsty.

Very close

I hiked via AF Canyon, past Silver Glance. I went up to the point where the white rock turned to red.

Red/White, Red/White  Sucess!

Fun simple mountain. Traversed the west ridge from White Baldy. 3rd class terrain. Descended the north face straight down White Pine Canyon. This is also a phenomenal mountain in the winter with some of the best ski terrain in the central wasatch.

Ditto Previous Post  Sucess!

Up through the sticker bushes from White Pine Lake in the dark for a sunrise photo op. Down the northwest face just because it looked shorter!

White Pine Route  Sucess!

Ascended from the White Pine trail (at the switchback right below the peak). The ascent wasn't too bad, but coming down was a bit tricky. The sun was coming over the ridge just as I was approaching the summit. Great views!

Underrated.

December 5, 2009 - I was one of the awesome people.

May 30, 2009 - Went up Red Pine to White Baldy and traversed to the peak from there. That ridge is really fun. Lots of exposure if you want it. We spent only a few minutes on top because of gathering clouds. We were grateful for the quick 1200' glissade to take us out of harms way relatively quickly, We heard thunder clapping a good half hour later. I learned later that we did the west peak, not the main peak. Oops. Beautiful day though, and a great route.

North Ridge Route  Sucess!

Climbed from White Pine to the saddle on the ridge South of Red Stack then along the ridge to the summit. Lots of scrambling to make this a fun and memorable climb.

Wow.  Sucess!

Got off the tram at Hidden Peak, went to AF Twin Peaks, went across and grabbed this one. Wow! What a climb. Went up the main chute, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Ended up going down via White Pine Lake and hitch-hiking back up to the lodge.

Red Baldy via Silver Glance Lake  Sucess!

Couldn't have been a better day to hike! The overcast skies made this hike so much more pleasant. Our goal was just to hike up to Silver Glance Lake, from Silver Lake Flat Reservoir trailhead, but once there, we felt great, so we decided to go straight up the red scree and talus to the summit. It wasn't as hard as I had expected although it was easily a 45-50 degree slope right up the front face from Silver Glance. Nothing scary. Class three once we got to the red talus. We just did some route finding and basic scrambling from there to the top. The scrambling was very fun. Beautiful views of White Pine Lake, Silver Glance, Silver Lake, and Silver Lake Flat, and even Tibble Fork Reservoir at the summit. We wanted to head up to White Baldy, but storm clouds chased us off the summit to lower ground.
