I was just lucky to be there after a snowstorm. You know what a little does to photographs. Hiking up the trails was a different story though. Deep snow in many places, and lots of ice on others. But, we loved it anyway.

This shot was purely a matter of luck. All I had to do was to walk a few minutes down the road to get it. But, the road was icy and the shoulder was covered by snow.

Re: SWEET!!!Thanks for the compliment. Zion NP rocks are very red, and they get even more red when they are a little moist.
I think I used a Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm lens.

Re: SWEET!!!My father gave me his old canon xt. Whell it like 4 yrs old but still takes good shots. I also have that lens to so I will take it with me on my next trip. Going to the Sangre de cristo range in june. Im taking a friend that has never been to the mountains befor so it will be a chill trip. Dont want to push him to hard for the first time. I think there will be a lot of time to practice my photo skills.. Thanks for responding. GERTS

Re: Irresistable!What can I say! It's the red cliffs of Utah. I happen to be there after a snowstorm. Is that lucky or what! It just happened again last week. We were in Zion right after even a bigger snowstorm. I took several hundreds photos. I love these digital cameras. I just have to figure out what to do with all the photos!
