ridge to Eagle Plume
|[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]|
This day started off beautifully, with brisk winds and clear skies on Glacier's east side. We initially planned to follow the long, scenic ridge to Eagle Plume Mountain (dark pointed peak at center), but after reaching the summit of Mad Wolf Mountain we were disappointed to see foul weather in the distance. Instead, we descended via the broad dry bowl to the north, and vowed to give it a go another day.
Red Mountain, a truly gigantic hunk of rock, is on the left side of the photo. Mighty Mount Stimson (behind and to the right of Eagle Plume) is covered in clouds in the far distance.
