Yes

This answers my question, you did do the Ring of Steall. Was here summer last year but had to get down due to crappy weather, only got to do the first section. So wanted to go along Devil's ridge.Nice pic and still jealous.

Re: Yes

It's a great ridge, a bit tricky in winter when you've got crampons on though. We did the ring in reverse (transport reasons) and so traversed the ridge quite early on. A fantastic day though, I recommend you take a trip back.

Great profile picture

It pretty much says all that needs to be said about the mountains.

Re: Great profile picture

Cheers Bob, I thought so too. My brother took it on the Ring of Steall (a long circular ridge traverse), in the Mamores. One of the best days mountaineering I've had this year so far - snow, ice, rock and mostly nice weather, can't ask for more than that really!

Haha

For some reason I always thought it was spelled 'Steel' in some testament to the effort required to complete the route! :D

Re: Haha

Ha ha, actually so did I! Of course having now done the route I like to tell people it refers to both its seriousness and the waterfall ;)

Re: As Bob said

Hi Ray, thanks very much; the Mamores are a fantastic little range. Please excuse the slow response, I've been on holiday.

Cheers
Dan
