Rising Wolf Mountain

Rising Wolf Mountain

The business end, and dangerous (many hidden cliffs, not visible from above) east face of Rising Wolf Mountain (9513'). This photo was taken early in February of 2005, which up to that point was an all-time record winter for low snow pack in the northern Rockies. I found it interesting that, despite the dearth of snow, it was still windy enough, and cold enough, that the area lakes (Lower Two Medicine Lake is pictured here) had frozen in a wave pattern, just as you'd see on a windy summer day!
