Skinned up skied down
Then again if I skinned up, what other means would I use to descend? Worst skiing conditions- hard frozen surface holding wind blown snow with warming sections of wind crust. Survival skiing at best. But hitting it again this weekend to summit Hassell.

Parked near gated 4wd road just past the Urad mine. Went up the 4wd road a couple hundred feet to a weather station and then cut up through the trees and followed the ridge to Engelmann's summit. Didn't seem too horribly steep this way. Continued to Robeson. Came down the avalanche chute from Robeson/Engelmann saddle; FAST descent with many glissade opportunities.
Very windy and cold day, hiked up Parnassus, continued onto Bard, then onto Robeson, turned around and rehired again Bard and Parnassus and descended via Woods and Mache…. something, forgot how to spell the last 12er…. Had red thighs from wind for 2 days afterwards and very sore knees :) I guess getting old.
Bard, Engleman, Robeson, Parnasus maybe not in that order. its been a while.

Senad, Derek and I pushed our way up sometimes steep slopes from Urad Mine in cool winter conditions. Both summits afforded nice views. We
We're *swimming* in deep snow on the descent. Sen and Derek laughed themselves half to tears when I got completely stuck in a tree:pothole combo. ;-). Thank you, gentlemen. ;-)
